April: Sakura Blossom

The traditional Japanese flower for the month of April is the Sakura Blossom. The Sakura Blossom’s lovely heart-shaped petals can be found in white or pink. We have chosen a delicate pink hue for our April hair piece, which is mounted on a headband.

In the spring the Sakura blossoms put on an incredible display, however it is short-lived. Because of their transient nature the Sakura blossom symbolizes mortality, and the fleeting nature of life. In our April piece we have captured not only the illusory essence of life but specifically of youth. Every parent knows that our children are only children for moments.
